Letter from the AIRE President

Dear AIRE Members and Friends:

It is my privilege and honor to serve as this year’s President of our great association. I am following in the footsteps of many talented AIRE Presidents before me and I will do my best to lead our wonderful organization in 2010.

Over the past 53 years, the Association of Industrial Real Estate Brokers has exemplified the highest levels of work standards, ethics, and cooperation. Our organization began with a few brokers getting together over a cup of coffee to discuss the industrial real estate market and has grown into one of the largest industrial real estate associations in the country touting nearly 500 members.

As we move into a new decade, I am excited about a few new initiatives the AIRE organization will be implementing during the course of the year.

With the use of technology, which has become a major tool in the day-to-day functions of our brokers, we have transformed the traditional AIRE bus tour into a virtual market tour. Through the efforts of a few of our members, we were able to present the I94 and I88 markets virtually via aerial travel.

AIRE has always given to commendable charities by participating in events such as the “Thanks for Giving” food drive and the “Toys for Tots” collection. This year AIRE is going to launch a member volunteer program called “AIRE CARES”. This program will allow AIRE members to continue their giving ways by allowing them to volunteer their time to causes throughout the year.

I want to thank our past President, Jane Robins, for leading our organization through a challenging economic year along with the AIRE Board and Committee Members who volunteered their valuable time to serve our great organization!
